Objètes is a ceramic studio creating unique handmade sculptures that sit between object and art. Inspired by nature and the intricate forms of coral, each piece grows through an organic and intuitive process guided by texture, movement, and natural structures.

Every sculpture begins as raw clay, carefully formed by hand into fluid shapes. The piece is first fired in the kiln at around 1000°C to harden the clay. After this first firing, it is glazed to bring depth and character to the surface, then fired again at temperatures above 1200°C. This slow process gives each work its strength, finish, and individuality.

Objètes strives to balance luxury with accessibility, creating sculptural pieces that feel special and collectible while remaining approachable. No two pieces are ever the same, making every object a small expression of nature, craft, and time.

Bouk de Roeck was born in 1999 and has been exploring his creativity from a young age, starting with drawing, painting and graffiti. During secondary school, art classes were what he enjoyed most. When he was not accepted into the art academy, he explored whether studying at the HvA might be a good fit. However, he quickly realised that he needed to return to what he loved most: making art.

Bouk began creating digital artworks in Photoshop, drawing inspiration from nature and using photo manipulation to bring his ideas to life. Yet the possibility of reproducing these works in multiple editions left him searching for something unique. In 2024, he decided to start working with his hands, developing his own distinctive style within that same year.

In 2026, Bouk launched his ceramics brand, Objètes, marking a new direction in his artistic practice that has since become his main focus. Inspired by the ocean life he encounters while diving and snorkelling, he creates unique ceramic pieces that reflect the shapes, textures and organic forms of the underwater world.
